I’m working on a low-budget 100W transistor power amplifier for HF, based on the FQP13N10. By pairing these $2 transistors in a push-pull configuration, the estimated build cost of a functional amplifier will be in the ballpark of around $20-$30 each.
This is only an extremely simple prototype which requires active PTT, has no filters, and lacks all sorts of bells and whistles. Consider this an early alpha, a “bare bones” experimental board of something more powerful I will continue working on in 2023.
The end goal is to have automatic filters and antenna switching, temperature sensor, power and SWR meters, and a total RF output of around 3-400 watts.
PCBs and parts for the first version will be ordered shortly, stay tuned for updates.
