It has been a long wait, but the time has finally come. I’m hours away from starting the journey towards Cape Town to meet up with the rest of the team, and begin the adventure 3YØK DXpedition to Bouvet Island.

Clothes are vacuum sealed and ready.

Bags are ready, and all items accounted for.

Home computer browser history deleted.

Tickets and passport ready.

Remember: all operators have worked really hard to accomplish this, so please – for whatever reasons you may be frustrated – do not take it out on us.

Please listen to the operators in the pileups! This is extremely important. By listening you allow us to not only work faster, but also get more contacts. This increases everyone’s chance of ending up in the log, including your own.

We’re not working simplex, so please don’t call on our frequency. “SPLIIIT, SPLIIIIIIIT!”
