3YØK Bouvet DXpedition

To my surprise (and probably yours too?) I recently had the privilege of being invited as one of the operators in the upcoming 3YØK DXpedition to Bouvet Island, taking place in February, 2026.

This was an offer I simply could not decline. Shut up and just tell me where to sign.

Understandably, a consequence of my participation is that my other DXpedition plans will have to be on hold. At least for a while. Bouvet will require tremendously much from me and my capacity in terms of work, preparations, planning, financially, and last but not least goodwill and patience from the XYL.

Prior to the Bouvet invitation I was secretly planing a “Final return to OJØ” for 2025. These plans wasn’t announced, but then again they’re not yet cancelled either. Let’s just say it’s filed under the “Maybe let’s see” folder for a while, and let’s evaluate my personal economy the next few months. By “economy” I’m not just talking about money, but also time. I can’t spend too much of either one of them.

It’s also worth mentioning that every big DXpedition, even 3YØK, rely heavily on financial and motivational support from everyone.

Keep in mind that we plan to stay on Bouvet Island for three weeks, and we’ll be on the air 24/7 with the help of 24 operators working on shifts. Our goal is to work as many as possible, literally eliminating the need for anyone to visit Bouvet again for a very, very, long time.

Please consider supporting us, either through donations or simply by spreading the word. Your help might be just what we need to pull this through.

This could be your best shot at ticking Bouvet Island off your DX wish list for good.
